“Great Indian chain restaurant in London. We got there around 6 pm and queued for 1.30 and + 15min inside at the bar, waiting for a table on Friday night. The place is huge the food is great. The staff was excellent, offered us umbrellas when it started raining and warm chai tea + liqueur while waiting. The service at the table was also impeccable. Overall a great experience though the queuing was a bit much”

“Dishoom never disappoints! First time trying the breakfast Naan and can see now why they have glowing reviews. My son had sausage & egg and I had bacon & egg and we swapped half of each. They were both superb. Everything was super tasty and really nice quality. The chutney on the side was gorgeous and the bottomless chocolate chai is a must! The lovely orange juice was freshly squeezed and was very refreshing. We were running late due to train delay but we were seated quickly and just made it in time for the breakfast menu. Definitely the place to go for breakfast in London.”

“Always a great option if you are around King’s Cross area. The food is delicious. I totally recommend ruby chicken curry.
It is also a feast for interior design lovers. The floor is epic.
Don’t agree with their queuing system, hence one star less.”

“Chicken broth and dumplings were excellent as was the main course of quail. The service was top notch and I loved the interior really had a sense of mystic. The only drawback was the deserts could’ve been a little bit better the chocolate pistachio cake in particular lacked that “spark” you expect from a Michelin-starred establishment. Overall though a fantastic experience all around and highly recommended.”

“Excellent Indian food – perhaps the best so far we tried. Definitely try the Deer meat appetizer and their lamb chops. However, service and ambiance are not Michelin star level. It is very loud inside. Waiters and other employees of the restaurant are talking among themselves in “Hindi” – difficult to know if they are making fun of customers. This is not acceptable for a Michelin-quality restaurant. The funny part, was the waiter forgot to give us wet towels after our dinner – though later Mr. Singh, a manager, apologized for the miss. Overall, great food but not worth the money because of poor service and ambiance!”

“Excellent food, ambiance, and courteous staff. The lunch was intriguing, we went for the vegetarian ala carte menu. The paneer was cooked to perfection. I also loved the Kale chat. They had among the best Naan and kulcha I’ve had in London – cooked to perfection with the dal. However, for a Michelin, I did expect the choice to be diverse – most of the items we had on the menu could be found in a good Indian restaurant, I suppose my only observation is that it wasn’t different enough.”

“The place is so good, the food is delicious but very very spicy. The service was so bad, I called him, he said okay and he didn’t come. There are a lot of staff who are standing doing nothing. The service is too slow and you have to ask twice for the order. The beetroot chop was not tasty at all, the rest were delicious especially the lamp curry is a must. They don’t have a lot of kinds of bread that you always find in Indian cuisine. I would come again for everything but not the service.”

“Super genuinely friendly staff, whoever is the manager who did the hiring here has selected wonderful people. The food was also fantastic and presented beautifully. Everything we had was so good, one dish was a bit too spicy for me and hence couldn’t finish but the flavors were still great. Loved the ambiance, honestly would love to go more frequently but have to wait for my next London trip”

“The food here was very good. The ingredients were fresh, the dishes were very flavourful and authentic also well presented. I would highly recommend the lamb shank with Cashew nut and Bone marrow sauce, the chicken Biryani was so amazing. The service was also very good, waiters were attentive and really took time to explain the various dishes. I would highly recommend this restaurant and I will certainly be back shortly!”

What Customer Say?

“The service in the restaurant is great, the staff is extremely nice and helpful.
The food is very good (some dishes are a bit too spicy for me but that was my responsibility while ordering. Just keep an eye out for that, if as myself, you don’t tolerate the extremely spicy).
Although the food is tasty, I found the portions too small for the price.
For two people, we paid almost 80 euros (no desserts and only tap water and 1 cola as drinks), and we left the restaurant half full. If you’re going for the experience, I would recommend it since it’s a food concept that I haven’t seen before.”

“First of all, our waitress Bhumi was excellent, she gave us fantastic service and recommended the star dish tonight – sticky sesame vegetables!! This probably wouldn’t be our usual pick but this is a MUST try!!!
The chili paneer was overpowered by the spring onion flavor, but other good dishes were the crackling spinach and popcorn cauliflower, and I had a delicious mango lassi.
Looking forward to returning again soon!”

“The food is great. Very quick service by Alex and Rubina. The first dish was served within 4 minutes of placing the order. The vibe of the place is rustic. The only con is the portion size which is actually pretty small (3 Momos in a plate), but can’t complain cuz we were advised about the portion size while placing the order.”

“Delicious Indian food with outstanding service from the whole team. The portion is small but its good for their good price. This is how you should end your trip to London.
I can’t recommend it enough.”

“My first time ever having Indian food. Could not have chosen a better place. Had the butter chicken with garlic Naan and pilau rice as well as the onion baji. So delicious! Great service. Great atmosphere and they serve until late which was perfect for a late night out in London. Super recommend”

“Friendly staff but we didn’t find the food amazing. We ordered chicken tikka, lamb Korai and paneer korai. The korai dishes didn’t seem balanced- they were sour and a little bitter. Perhaps just a bad choice. The tikka was ok.”

What Customer Say?

“The food taste was great hence it has 3 stars for the restaurant but the overall experience let us down. The portion was really small. We had a starter and main course and found that the portion was too too small. Even a portion of rice is not enough for 1 average person. We also found that we were rushed with our starter as they had the main course prepared. And the table was so small and too close to each other. It felt like we were at a fast food restaurant. So overall dining experience was poor.”

“I have been to this restaurant between 20-25 times, I say proudly that this is the only authentic Pakistani food restaurant with standards like its. My favorite dish at this restaurant is the murgh taka tak “subtil Chicken thigh cooked up in a wok with an aromatic blend of garlic, onions, ginger, tomatoes, mixed spices & coriander” have it with garlic Naans. Biryani Shah Jahani is another dish to try I was born in a Pakistani house and I’ve been having this dish my entire life. I have had it at 100’s of restaurants & 100’s of houses/parties but that ‘shadi wali Biryani’ you can’t buy it at any other restaurant but Zayna. The staff are champions, they’ll remember you, well done to Riz Dar for opening this gem of a restaurant after his daughter ‘Zayna’s’ name. From food to Atif Aslam music and traditional ‘Badshahi masjid style’ decor it’s truly a 5* Restaurant.”

“Visited Zayna again after a long absence. Food and ambiance continue to be very good, though the amendment to our booking from four people to two hadn’t been processed. As a result, our greeting was a little off – the waiter just turned on his heel and left us at the door while he changed the table settings. IMO the portion sizes have been reduced from a few years ago – not a problem for us as we’re not big eaters, but we would previously have been able to take our leftovers away for another meal. The food was as delicious as ever and the service was friendly and efficient. Our Naan bread was dried out, not soft and pillowy at all. However, once I pointed this out the owner readily said he would remove it from the bill. Overall we had a lovely meal, but the portion sizes and price made this seem not quite as good value as it used to be.”

“Great meal, great atmosphere, great service, great value.
We visited the restaurant on a weekday for dinner for a table for two. We made a reservation in advance to ensure we got a nice table as this restaurant is situated in a very busy area near Westfield Village in Shepherds Bush.
A warm welcome from the start, a choice of the table was offered, drinks service was prompt. Engaging waiting staff. Show open kitchen is a great asset to the ambiance and the overall experience. Menu knowledge was great, too, as we had some questions. Starters arrived on time, followed by the mains. The food was presented really well. It was at the right temperature, balanced spice level, and was extremely tasty.
Thank you for the great experience. we will be back again.”

“Food was not up to my standards as I expected. And portions were way too small like we ordered a mixed non-vegetarian platter which was £27 and it had literally 8 pieces in total. 2 fish pieces,2 lamb kabab, and 4 chicken pieces. I uploaded it pic too. Food taste and portions are definitely a downside. But the service was very quick. We wouldn’t go back again.”

“I loved the Indian food. Everything was delicious. Went with colleagues for office end-of-the-year dinner.
The restaurant is located in the mall.
My best drink was the Mango and Rose Thandai, had it 3ce and everyone had to order theirs.
Great ambiance and speedy service.
Would love to go some other time”

and cooked to perfection. Considering the quality of food and the location of the restaurant the price is reasonable”

“Had an incredibly delicious meal with friends tonight – the staff are so amazingly friendly and can’t believe how yummy the vegan menu is. Clearly labeled, cooked separately, and very extensive. A great place to bring lots of people with different dietary requirements. I’ll be back!”

“Cute little Indian restaurant. The food was really tasty the butter chicken was great and we loved the garlic naan as it was so fresh and crispy, food did take a bit of time to come out but was worth the wait. It is a small restaurant so can get crowded and feel uncomfortable when people are seated on the table right next to you. Nice decor to take pictures and cute little teddy on a swing chair which makes the place stand out.”

“Came here yesterday for our mini Eid gathering with my good friends. The chicken harayali and the Afghan chicken won my heart, wish I had more but I enjoyed the meal. Wonderful. This is a very popular place with food bloggers. Thanks to Instagram I discovered this restaurant, or else I wouldn’t have known about it. Great service! The only downside I wish the restaurant was a bit roomier, it felt a bit less spacious. I loved the deco and the Ticca Tikka jungle-themed neon art. Highlight of this place.”

My favorite thing was the paratha and also the chai was nice. I bought a few items but nothing really wowed me. customer service is very good there nice and polite. What Customer Say?

“We visited their previous location in Soho (right next door) a number of years ago before they moved to Covenant Garden – and now back. The restaurant is much larger now, yet the food, service, and drinks should top any “best of” list in London. There is a preset menu- my partner and I chose different appetizers and for entrees, we had the shrimp curry & goat curry. It was a good mix between having a mild and somewhat spicier curry. Signature cocktails were great as well. Advanced booking required.”

“I had a pleasant dinner, and the curries were incredibly tasty. I also really enjoyed the dessert and discovering new and unusual flavors.
But the price point is far too high for this sort of meal (80pp when you include food, a beer, and the service charge). I understand the need to ask for card details to reserve. But the 50 pounds deposit upon reservation is an absolute overkill for a restaurant that serves a set menu with such a small variety of dishes.
In short, a restaurant that charges and behaves like a wanna-be Michelin star (thanks to incredible fame and the brilliant concept of its creator) but is far from offering the same experience.”

“I have repeatedly enjoyed kathi rolls and toasties at Darjeeling Express in the past and I have always appreciated the philosophy behind the restaurant. However, I was disappointed during my recent visit, especially when it comes to value for money. I understand prices have gone up everywhere, but the portion sizes at the restaurant are too small for the price. The size of toasties has shrunk and there were 6 pieces of shrimps for £12. That is steep. On the positive side, chicken momos are the best I have had in London and definitely worth trying (also £12). I have not tried their famous thali, so can not comment on it.”

What Customer Say?

“The important thing with any restaurant is the food and here the Taj Mahal excelled even though it was very early and we were the only people in at the time. I wouldn’t normally go into an empty restaurant but I trusted the Google reviews and I’m glad I did. I had Prawn Purée to start and the Hyderabad special for main and it was one of the best curries I’ve had. Portions could be a little bigger but my wife thought they were fine. Can’t really speak for the atmosphere due to the time we ate. I have dropped a star for service as the waiter spent most of his time on his phone via Bluetooth but as stated the food was very good.”

“Found this restaurant by chance what a fantastic find! The food was very flavorsome and had good-sized portions. A varied menu at reasonable prices.
The staff were very attentive without bringing over the top, nothing was too much trouble. Our waiter was Raj and he recommended dishes, we couldn’t fault his choices.
We had the table as long as we needed it, no pressure to move it. Good atmosphere all in all it was an unexpectedly pleasant experience and we would certainly come back next time we are in town.”

“Really nice place, super friendly staff. The manager of the night Imran did a great job and I had a really nice experience. The food recommendation was super tasty. Thank you!”

What Customer Say?

“Went for team dinner, food was very good and pretty reasonable for a group of 8 people. We had both vegetarian and non-vegetarian mains plus starters and everything was delicious. The low-lit ambiance was perfect. Do try their masala chai with Bailey’s.”

“Usually there’s always a queue so it’s better to make reservations if you want to go for a proper meal experience. We went past the lunch time so managed to get in. We sat in the snack and bar section. Tried their chai, veg samosa chaat, papri chaat, shezwan potatoes and gulab jamuns. The schezuan potatoes were flavorful and so was the samosa chaat. Papri chaat is just average as it had too many boiled potatoes as the topping. About the Chai – chai is pre-made though it was okay but has added sugar and was just hot enough to drink( in case you’re a fan to hot out of the pot tea you may request them to heat it for you). Overall, I would say it’s a nice place.”

The food was full of flavor, portions good.”
